13.2.2016

At 10AM sharp we kickstarted today"s competition with Junior men and U17 boys. One jumper from each category, Nuh Andu from Quatar (U17) and Ondřej Vodák (Junior men) dueled for the standing record. In the end, Nuh Andu met the record of 208 cm, which was set in 1999 by Jiří Křehula. With this number Andu secured gold, silver went to Štěpán Svoboda (TJ Vodní stavby Tábor) with 195 cm, and bronze to Jan Vojtek (SSK Vítkovice) with 190 cm.

Ondřej Vodák (Lokomotiva Břeclav) won the Junior men category by clearing 212 cm at his first try, also meeting his personal best. Raising to 216 cm meant the limit for the Junior World Championship, but he did not manage to jump this bar. Second place went to Adam Kubica (Univerzita Brno) with 200 cm and third to Mohamed Yusuf Saqer for 195 cm.
